On Friday Apple agreed to replace my broken Powerbook G4 with a MacBook Pro since the repair is taking so long (part not expected until Nov. 3rd and they ahve already had it 3 weeks). As of today the replacement hasn't shipped yet.

On my repair status page it said the repair was completed on my G4 and product shipped (both on Monday), but the tracking number they give is not valid according to DHL. Is that just a formality? If they ship me my old computer...

I emailed the dispatch person assigned to me and she said my replacement hasn't shipped yet and it should in the next few days. So I'm hopeful they aren't giving me my old G4 back. The status page is making me paranoid though...

What does everyone else think?

Also, will I get the new macbook released today or the old version. If it hasn't shipped yet I'm assuming the new one..

You may get the new one you may not.. it all depends on what apple gives you. I must say that you are pretty lucky for them to agree to give you a brand new MacBook Pro.
