hey everyone, long time lurker first time poster!

I'm wondering if anyone could help me out at all, so I started the retail store process start of April, made it through to the final stage(so they said) it was me and one other person,

Now they said we would hear either way within a few days, it's been nearly 2 weeks now and I haven't heard anything back, no email or phone call, is this standard procedure? Because I'm really passionate about this job, and now I'm worried I haven't been successful, I'm just holding out for some form of email now! Either one!!

Has anyone else had this expierence? And does it mean I didn't make it?

Thanks

Contact them now.

I contacted them yesterday, and never got a reply, and I have phoned today with someone saying that I would receive a phone call.

I assume now I don't have an offer, but an email or some form of communication would have nice.

If you had the interview with the GM, you should be good to go. Their people manager submits the background check after this, and it does take some time to come back. They may be in a holding pattern for this.

Basically the story is, did the first stage, and was phoned up so say come for an interview, I selected a time that suit me (which I thought was pretty cool of them)

And me and this other person were informed it was just us 2 who made it through out of the selection and this would be the final stage. We would hear in the next coming days

Fast forward to now, nothing from them, the interview was with the Store Leader and the Store Manager.

But a question to what you said, how can they do a background check without be filling In the hire right forms I hear Apple send out?

Hmm, I did mine in store. They didn't have you do paperwork at all, or sign a release for the background check? I thought I did my paperwork after I accepted the offer, but that was a few years ago. I remember the background check taking the longest.
