Apple Retail Store epiphany

I went to buy my first MacBook on Sunday and I arrived at the local mall around 10:45 AM.
The mall was open but the stores didn't until 11:00 AM so I had to wait 15 minutes.

There must have been about 10 people in front of the store when they finally opened the doors up (and the holiday shopping season has not even started yet).

I had to laugh. If you had told me 10 years ago that there would not only be an Apple Retail store in my local shopping mall, but that there would be a line of people waiting to get in there (when there is another Apple Retail store about 20 minutes further away... Boston, MA area), I would have thought your were crazy.

Microsoft finally has some good competition.

Change is definitely a good thing.

When I visit the local Apple store in the mall, there is always two dozen customers in there. Some for the genius bar, but most are browsing and buying. Then I go past the little kiosk Dell has set up in the more and NEVER count more than 2 customers at any time. The Intel switch has really lit the Apple fire.
