Don’t Steal Movies
If you see something you want to watch again and again, QuickTime 7 Pro lets you quickly save your favorite content to your hard disk.

Professional studios around the world spend millions of dollars and man-hours producing commercial entertainment. Please don’t steal their work or in ten years, it will cost $50(2) to see a movie in the theater. But, you can find lots of material on the Web that’s legal to cut, copy and remix. Look for the Creative Commons license and add to the world’s culture.

here is the link http://www.apple.com/quicktime/pro/win.html

and also the message shows up on the Mac pro site as well

EDIT : Here is the link Apple has left for us to find all the un copyrighted video http://creativecommons.org/find/

I'm getting mixed messages from Apple.

First they enable how to Save QT Movies and then lecture us about stealing movies? I have a problem with that. How do we steal something that has already been downloaded into our computers or movies we've already seen?

Apple and the movie studios should be more worried about organized crime outfits pirating movies and selling them for $5 on the streets. Lame-o.

That's amusing :) It already costs about $50 to see a movie. $20 for a couple to get in and about $20 for popcorn, 2 drinks, and candy. We're almost there. In 10 years I'll be happy if it only costs $50 :)

Note: There is some sarcasm to this......I do understand that this probably means ticket prices, not total cost with food and drinks.

Anyway, in 10 years I'll most likely never go to a movie theater anyway. Almost everything you can go watch is shove-down-your-throat-2ndTimeAround-ReDone-JerryBruckheimerProduced-GeorgeLucasWritten-StevenSpielbergDirected-TomHanksStarring-crap. Even the newer theatres who say they will keep one spot open for independent films almost never do so.....and when they do have independent films it is usually after these films have won a bunch of awards and a larger studio picks up the film to distribute it.
Just Say No to the current Hollywood model.

I was wondering about the "(2)" after the $50, and I saw that it was a reference on Apple's website. (2), at the bottom in gray, says "Exaggerated estimate." Gotta love that source!

You know, on the iPod 5G on the screen cover when you buy it, it just says "Don't steal music." I didn't hear anything about movies or pictures! ;)

I was just kidding, for those who might take that seriously.:)

It's not stealing it's file sharing, and isn't sharing a good thing
Well, I was always taught sharing is a good thing.....
