I have been searching the web all weekend for help on how to do the following. Automaticly download and convert torrents to ipod playable files. To do this i think we need to do the following.:

1)Get and RSS torrent downloaded (done, TED)
2)Automatically Download those torrents (done, Transmission)
3)Place those downloads, once completed, in a completed folder (done)
4)Write an apple script to watch for new movie files in this folder and convert them to an ipod playable format. This would most easily be done, it seems, with the Handbrake CLI app.(This is where I'm stuck)

If anybody has any tips, applications that do this, or any comments at all Please share them here. From searching around there are many people who could use help here.

I'm am using the current version on OS X and have transmission, ted, handbrake CLI, Handbrake, and VisualHub available.

Thanks in advance!

autodesk cleaner 6.5

I was dealing with an issue batch converting video files that I wrote automator workflow for. If you use applescript a lot, it should be easily converted to a pure applescript. I just don't write code a lot, so automator gave me some easy workaround options. If you can get a copy of autodesk cleaner 6.5, shoot me a message and I'll give you my workflow.

You're in extreme luck. Put a *lot* of work into this in the last 48 hours and it works like a charm. I even have a script set up on machine to automatically tag files, but that will need some cleaning up before its ready for the unwashed masses. :p

Get it while it's hot, I'm considering learning objective C and making it into a real, pay, app.
