Good day,

Does anyone know if it's possible to get an email as soon as a security update comes out for OSX?

I know it is possible with Microsoft so I thought that Apple would have that same kind of service.

Thanks

There is a workaround to get what you want... go to this page and grab the link to the "downloads and updates" RSS feed, then use that feed to make a recipe on Iftt to send yourself an email when that RSS feed posts an update.

You will need to sign up for a free Iftt account.

Oh sweet, thanks

Note that the Apple list is a bit different than Microsoft's. The Apple list only sends out notice after a security update is released but it does provide the full security details for a given update.

I always just wait until the update (That includes security updates for/Airport/OSX, etc) is on the update site. That is when Apples allows us to download anyway. :D
