Hi!

I'm from Germany an my Mother called me a few minutes ago, telling me, that she can't log in with her Apple ID because of an incorrect Password. So I went to apple.com, trying to log in and test it, but I never came That far. The site told me, the server is currently unavailable. So I checked my (completely different from my mother's ID) Apple ID on my iPhone an had the same issue. :confused:
 
Yup, unable to login here either. iCloud backup failed, and I can't log into icloud.com. System Status claims everything is up though.

Password Incorrect!?

Yeah- Find My Friends is not working (says password is incorrect) and I cannot log into iCloud from the web. There is definitely something wrong. I get the same exact errors. Last month, I was forced to change my password and that seemed to resolve the problem. I don't want to have to do that again.

Yeah, I don't think that page is useful at all. Apple doesn't like to admit or advertise errors until it is beyond obvious and hours old.

As per this status page right now no problems reported

I can login into iCloud via Web and found my phone from there.

That said: might be a partial outage which is not reflected in the status site ?

Users may be unable to access the iTunes Store or complete purchases.


Account & Sign In - Some users affected
Users may incorrectly receive an authentication error when attempting to use iCloud. Setting up a new iCloud account from an eligible device may be temporarily unavailable.
 
Good news is that existing connections seem unaffected. Its only when you need to authenticate your credentials (using Find my Device, setting up a new account, web login) that you run into a problem.
