Whats everyones experience of Apple shipping in the UK with TNT? When I had my mini delivered in August 05 the online tracking was always up to date and arrived as expected. However, I ordered a 20" iMac last week and the delivery date is for tomorrow (31st May) but TNT's tracker showed it in CORK on 28th but it hasn't changed since then?

Anyone else had this?

29th was the Sunday, then we had a bank holiday, so either no movement or no updates online. I would say it will probably be with you tomorrow, when they say, or at worst the day after. Mine went from being in the Netherlands on the Friday, to being with me on the Monday, at 7am (with no movement on Sunday).

I have had a few deliverys from the Apple store online UK, and have found that it depends on what service they ship out the goods on. If they do express service it is very quick, normally a few days. On the other hand if it is standard shipping it normally takes about a week.

My MB was ordered on the day of release and arrived a week later, more than a week early.
The TNT tracking system seems to be garbage though. I followed the thread about UK buyers who ordered at the same time as me. Many of us missed updates and it was only through following that thread that I worked out mine would arrive on the day it did. According to the tracker, it was still Arnhem. Consequently, I'd be willing to bet that your iMac isn't still in Cork. Not a huge bet mind you! ;)

I prefer only to order from Apple because it means your purchase date is correct. I've found that ordering goods from other companies can lead to purchase dates being messed up and it shortens your warranty. To rectify it you need to send a receipt to Apple, which is really just a whole lot of hassle.

I DO NOT BELEIVE IT!

Got up this morning at 7am and checked TNT to see it was out for delivery today! Yey!

Then 15 minutes ago the TNT lorry pulls up outside so I watch thru the blinds  but he stays in the back for ages! At least 10 minutes later he climbs out and gets back in the cab. Stuff this I ran out and he gets out the cab and tells me my parcel either isn't in the truck or its right at the front and he can't get to it. So know I have to stay in all day knowing it was almost here in the hope its on the truck, otherwise its going to be tomorrow!

Got I'm having such a sucky month!

Oh god that really sucks! I'd have made him unload the entire truck onto the street :D

Hope it arrives with you soon...

Should have expected it as my girlfriend and I are having one of the suckiest months ever.

Rang TNT to see when it may be and they have said any deliveries like this then go to the end of day so may have to wait until 8pm tonight now :(

TNT tried to deliver my iMac 4 times >_>

In the end I gave up and drove the 30 miles to the depot and picked it up - I missed so much school that week >_>

Does anybody know what Courier is used by Jigsaw24?

My amazon order of a macbook has been sat there since friday and not yet dispatched, so i just cancelled and ordered form jigsaw, but cannot find any info on which courier they use to deliver.

YEY I'VE GOT IT!!!!!

Rang TNT up a couple of times to chase it and they said they would send a message to the driver. Just before 1pm he turned up saying he got the message from the depot and he'd found the box in the front of the lorry.

I was initially worried as the out box was quite badly dented and then when I got the iMac box out the corner of that was also crumpled, but thankfully the iMac itself was away from the dent so looks OK.

Initial impression, heavy but not as heavy as I had thought so happy with that but dam doesn't it look cool! The screen is SOOOOO sharp as well and feels massivly snappier than my 1st Mac (G4 Mini). Currently have iBackup restoring my old stuff over, just hoping everything will work as I had iLife05 before and now all my photos/music are going into iLife06 so fingers crossed.

Oh and this Apple keyb is quite strange. Rakes back quite a lot?

Glad to hear it's finally arrived :)

I think the newer iMacs are slightly lighter... I had to lug a 20" iMac G5 Rev B model back to the store for repair and as I don't have a car I do mean quite literally *lug* it down from my 3rd floor flat and then carry it for about 10 mins to the bus stop. The plastic carry handles on those boxes are not kind to hands! Owwwwww!
