What is the point of a separate Apple Silicon forum? There should be a separate "Intel Macs" forum for legacy hardware, and discussion of all current Macs should be in the existing Desktops and Notebooks forums.
The Apple Silicon forum makes no sense at all.

Going to disagree. Yes, there seem to be a lot of posts here that should be moved to the relevant forums (they are moved sometimes by moderators*) but there are also a lot of posts that are about the architecture of Apple's SoCs. Those are the only ones that should be here so there would be a lot less activity but it would be more focused.

*For example, this really should be in the Site and Forum Feedback section.

Moderators act quickly IF they get reports. Otherwise it's hard for them to discover problems. So if you see such threads report. I've done it myself a few times and they respond the next day.

Apple makes its own SoCs that are used across all their products. Intel CPUs are not made by apple, though indeed there is also a powerpc mac section. Where would you discuss about the different Mx variations irrespective if they are put on a laptop or desktop mac?

A lot of the discussions here are bout the actual chips regardless of which computer they are used in. If the topic is the M2 Pro chip, which forum would that go in? Mac Studio, Mac Mini, MacBook Pro? What about a comparison of the M1, M2, and M3? Where should that go?

It is fine if moderators move threads to device specific forums when the topic is really about the device and not specific to Apple Silicon, but this forum still has a purpose. An example would be “Fingerprints on Midnight Macbook Air”. That could be moved to the MacBook forum.

Conan O'Brien's show kept calling their In the Year 2000... skit that well past the year 2000. Let's just roll with it.
