Apple Sim

I’m confused with Apple Sim. I bought an Ipad Air 2 cellular from Apple store (UK) and it didn’t come with any SIM at all

isn’t the Apple sim supposed to ship with the Ipad ??

Are you sure it's not already in the SIM tray? AFAIK, only the 9.7 iPad Pro comes with it embedded within the device.

I bought a refurbished model from Apple store ... I don’t think that would matter

Refurbished models don't come with it, only the new retail models do.
