iPad Pro Apple Smart Keyboard Folio Edges Splitting

I have the 12.9” Apple Smart Keyboard Folio and I just noticed this morning that it is already splitting on the edges only 18 days in! I have absolutely babied this thing (due to bendgate).

My 14 day return period ended on the Nov. 23rd. Frustrating that I may be locked into the 1 year exchange policy and end up swapping this out every couple weeks. Hopefully, Apple will cut me some slack today and let me return this thing. Crazy that in 2018 this is the quality $200 buys you at Apple. I know manufacturing defects happen but this is very disappointing.

Hi, i'm having similar issue and it is worse than yours.
Mine is 11" model and the edges along left keyboard of the folio case is splitting/opening up. Looks like the adhesive is giving up. Got it on 17 Nov less than 1 month only. Had contacted Apple and scheduled a call for tomorrow. Note that i did not even bring my ipad out since i got it. All the while used at home. Tried my best to take pictures but pictures still blur.

Maaan, I just ordered one. This is a little disappointing.

This is completely normal. And by completely normal I mean “normal” in the sense that it happens frequently from what I can tell. Happened to me on the 10.5” and Apple sent me a new one without issue. I hardly used it after that but have now passed it onto my wife when I upgraded to the 3rd gen 12.9” and so far it seems like it’s okay.
