Apple Store 17" Stock...

Has anyone called an Apple Store re: expected delivery of 17" MBP? I've read, somewhere on this forum, that they are usually shipped to them before client's who purchase online.

I haven't called as I am about 600 miles from the nearest store.

Patiently (not) waiting for a call from my "nearby" (90mi) Apple Store on stock 17" C2D. I also think they would get some in stock, before the CTO's ship, but not necessarily before stock on-line orders. I'm pretty much betting on no call before we see some on-line order ship notifications. (I've been lurking around the forums for waaaay to many hours looking for those posts.)

i am on the list at my local store (providence place) and waiting for a call as well. this does not prevent me from calling every day and asking if they are in yet anyway, to which they always answer "within the first 2 weeks of november"

i would practically guarantee next friday the 17th at the latest; but i think at least a few will be in by this friday the 10th.
