iPad mini Apple Store App says can not connect

I can verify ID in settings and sign in but no longer can use the App. Worked fine 2 weeks ago.

Re-started the device, did not help.

Tried Wi-Fi and Cellular with different providers.

using iOS6 on iPad Mini 1st gen.

iPhone 4s with iOS5 works fine with the Apple Store App.

This is a bug with the iOS 6 App Store. You aren’t alone.

Well it used to work fine. I have downloaded numerous apps over the years I have had this.
