I wasn't sure which forum to post this question in....

I was buying a Macbook Pro last friday and the guy who sold it to me said people at the Apple Store don't make commision. Is this true? I mean I was going in there to buy it one way or another but he let me know this I guess so that I could trust him more. I doesn't really matter just wondering.

They do not earn a commission. I don't know that you can trust or distrust him more or less, but whatever makes you feel more comfortable.

While not on commission, they do get bonuses based on the store's performance each quarter, especially .Mac and AppleCare attachment rates.

Managers may still get a bonus, but regular employees (Mac Specialists, Geniuses, Creatives, Concierges, etc) don't anymore.

I've heard it's around $9/hr for sales. That's a tad bit higher than BestBuy's 8.75/hr for sales.
I just wish Apple allowed for performance based increases. Do they do this?

Best Buy does not have a set pay.. some make more some make less.. if your performance is good you have the opportunity to get much larger raises than other employees.
