Apple Store Drug Testing Policy

Hey everyone, i recently had my final interview at an apple store and finally got the job. although a 'final offer' still needs to be made.

i was just wondering if any one has had to take a drug test and at what point durring the hiring process.

ive searched this site, as well as others and i just can't seem to find a definite answer anywhere.

In most circumstances, if they go to the trouble and expense of issuing a drug test, then the candidate is most likely going to get an offer.

Depends on your position. Most large companies require drug tests. Heck, I got tested years ago for even an internship at a large specialized company.

However I don't recall hearing about drug tests for Apple Store.

I am curious... now that you have gone through the hiring and orientation process, did they drug test you??

They dont do the drug test. They send the applicant to a local clinic to get it done and they are the ones who do the test. They print off the resluts and either fax it to the company or hand it to the applicant and he/she gives it to the employer

someone above said apple stores dont do Drug tests. It appears they do, given the topic starter said.

There is nothing to worry about. That is, if your clean. It costs companies money to do the drug test and if they ask you do have a drug test it means they want you on the team.

I never trust drug tests.

Why? Because I failed one once.

I'm probably the only person who has never even tried a cigarette let alone any type of drug (and I'm 28!) And no, I didn't eat poppyseeds or anything like that.


It almost cost me my job, I wasn't even allowed back at work after the results but luckily a friend of mine who was also a co-worker explained to the manager that I get drug tested every month at drill (I was in the Army Reserves at the time) and there is no way that the test that came back positive was accurate. 6 weeks later I get a call from my job to go take another drug test and it came back clean.

So ya, I don't trust drug tests at all. I also don't trust Labcorp in Altoona Pennsylvania to administer those drug tests.

Do you know for a fact or are you just assuming since Apple is a big company with plenty of resources that would possibly administer the test?
