If you're talking about the Apple Refurbished Store, then that is normal. If you see a refurbished item that you want, you should buy it then and there or you will have to wait for it to reappear in the Apple Refurbished Store.

There are different websites that allow you to setup a notification email that will be sent to you when the specific model of a Mac that you want is available.

The best website that I know of is: http://www.refurb.me/us/

Check out that website and put in the info to setup your notification alerts. The price of the 13.3", 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD MacBook Air is $1189 and it is the Late 2010 model.
