Apple Store Evaluations and Store Culture

In the past, it seemed like a respectable and desirable career option (and I wouldn't mind having it on my résumé) but I feel like recently, the retail management has gone to pot.

Why hire people who would better be used at companies like McDonald's and Taco Bell? The Apple Store downtown where I live has its share of good employees. But the feeling that you get when walking into the store is none too bright. It's the kinds of attitudes that stick in your mind. One of the reasons why I don't do much business in the store.

It might be Apple, but it's still retail. The older staff will be the good'uns.

As amazing as Apple product is, I believe that the representation of the store staff is (For the most part) unacceptable.
It is rare that I get quality engagements from their staff.

I think you'd be right. And you're right on the money. Why do they host a big angry lady witg an attitude right at the front door? Why do the Genuises not know what they're talking aboit half the time? And it's odd because I thought that you had to fly out to some kind of secret orientation.
