Hey guys, so I preordered an iPhone 12 Pro Max which arrived yesterday, and sadly I think it’s too large for me. It’s a beautiful device and I totally understand why other people would want this model, so please don’t take it personally if the Max is your preferred model - I just have relatively small hands for a dude and it’s more cumbersome than I thought it would be.
So I contacted Apple Chat Support through the Apple Store and they said I could set up an exchange where I send back the Max and they automatically ship out a Pro when they receive my return, with AppleCare transferred over automatically (my nearest Apple Store is like 160 miles away sadly).
Anyway, my question is: Does anyone know what the turnaround is like for this kind of Exchange? Would I expect the Pro to arrive around the time of current delivery dates for the same model Pro if I were to buy one from the Apple Store separately, or do they prioritize exchanges somehow?
I guess I should’ve done what others do and buy multiple devices on launch day and return the one I don’t like, but that’s just not really the way I like to do things. Thanks!
