So, I went to the Apple store in Charlotte to get an MBA and I asked about video connections -- would I be able to connect my MBA to a VGA display?
Yes, said the fellow in the store, but I'd need to buy an adapter for $19.99.
Hmm... didn't seem right to me--I seem to remember folks in the MR forums saying the adapter was included, but whatever.
Then later I'm actually buying the computer I ask about the adapter (separate sales associate). Could I get the adapter right now? He says he'll check, but I might have to buy it from Apple.com.
A few minutes later he returns with my computer (which is GORGEOUS) and says that adapters aren't available yet.
"So there's currently no way to run an external display off a MacBook Air?" I ask.
"That's right."
I roll my eyes and buy the computer anyway. I'm pretty sure it will be fine.
Sure enough, I get home, and both a DVI and VGA adapter are INCLUDED with the computer.
