Hi

An apple store have ordered a new laptop for me for the one they lost when I gave it in for repair. They told me it was dispatched last Thursday and they will call me when it arrives. I called them today to find out how long it would take as its not arrived. They said whoever they ordered it from can only tell them when its dispatched. I've never heard of a scenario where a tracking number could not be provided. Has anyone ever heard of this before? Is there any course of action I can take?

Its very frustrating because not only did they lose it, when they ordered the replacement for the first time they ended up ordering the wrong one, so I've been without the laptop for over 2 months.

thanks

If the replacement laptop is being shipped to the store instead of directly to you, I can see them (or any other store under similar circumstances) not being able to give out the tracking number, since they're the designated recipient of the package.

In this case they are saying they don't have a tracking number. Also there must time some timeline to when the laptop should come.

How long from dispatch would one expect a laptop to arrive from China in a worse case scenario?
