Read a post said Apple Stores started selling 4GB models recently, just the ultimates or others?

I think he is asking if the Apple Stores stocks the base models + RAM upgrade. It kinda makes logical sense, as RAM is the most popular upgrade of all on the MBA. However, no, Apple Stores will only hold the ultimate versions (SSD, RAM and CPU upgrade). Any other combination has to be ordered online as a bto.

Looking at the break down on the macbook air, i don't see why they don't make the ram an upgrade slot instead of directly on the board.

The ram would sit off the board just as far as the harddrive. :-/
