Which would be my best bet if I want to get an iPhone on the 29th? Am I better off going to an Apple Store or a corporate att?

One sucks and the other oh wait, they both aren't very good. Corporate stores are operated by AT&T, while franchise stores are owned by other companies who offer AT&T products and services.
Exactly.....corporate stores are owned by at&t and non-corporate stores are owned by individuals.
Corporate owned ones will be getting the iPhone. Franchised stores will not.
This question has been answered numerous times. Try using the search. Your best bet is at an AT&T store.
I'm going to the At&T store..its corporate, and I'm going to be changing it around with a current family plan, so I'd rather go to the store that has all my information about my current plan
I am going to an AT&T store, while my girlfriend goes to an Apple store. We are only buying 1 for now, but this should increase my chances of getting one. We will stand on line for a few hours, but in no way will we camp out.
If for some odd reason she ends up being really close to the front of the line, then I will head over to an Apple store to buy it. Mostly, because I have never purchased something in an Apple store

i knew the franchised ones wernt thats why i asked, theres about 15 i assume "corp" locations where i live so i was asking to see if there was a big difference. but i see the diff is on have the cingular banners and its a cingular store and the others are locations or kiosks that sell cingular ****.
I would say... neither. go to a regular store and get there kinda early... I'd say you'll be able to get one.
There are about 10 in my area... I've got all their phone numbers and directions. I'll get one on the 29th. I'll prolly get there at about 10pm on the 28th. prolly dont need too, however its summer, and I cant handle my excitement.

Actually.....your best bet is either a corporate at&t store or an Apple Store. Rumor has it that non-corporate at&t stores may not even get any iPhones on the 29.

so they're putting up posters "iphone- june 29th" on the windows of AT&T stores... and those stores wont be getting iphones...
