Tonight I bought my macbook white 2gh on my educational discount. Because of the promotional free iPod I also bought a black 30gb iPod and they had another promotion of buying any mac and get a printer for free. So in total I bought a macbook, iPod and printer, the total came up to $1,658 and I figured that was correct and got three copies of my reciepts made so I could mail in my rebates for the $100 printer and the $178 iPod. Then when I got home I started to fill in the rebate information and I looked at my receipt, I was charged $1299 for the macbook, when I should have been charged $1199 because of student discounts. Now what I am worried about is if I did not get the student discount for the macbook, I won't get the promotional iPod. So I am paying $278 more than I should be. I am going to call the store in the morning but I was wondering if this happened to anyone before? Is the student discound a mail in rebate?
Oh, and my macbook is wonderfull, Its not too hot the fan went on and it was barely noticable with the TV in the background.
