Obviously you're not a golfer.
i apologize for the relative horribleness of the pics, but my cell was all i had on me tonight at the Providence Place Mall. the store was closed and roped off, but the glass was all open so you can see into the entire store. you can get an idea of the "new" type of store they are doing - it looks very clean and actually a bit sparse, other than the tables of product. i saw at least a couple of other people snapping (what i assume are far better) pics also while i was there, so hopefully you can get a better idea from someone else :)

i should add that i do not know if the images do it justice, but it appears that every surface other than the floor and the tables are what looks and feels like macbook pro aluminum. its actually sort of like looking down a squarish, aluminum clad submarine filled with huge wood tables full of apple hardware.

in a good way :)

EDIT: looks pretty much identical to this: http://ifostore.cachefly.net/columbia_first/index.html

Looks a bit depressing, actually. Like a nuclear bunker or warehouse or something.

Personally I am not visiting an Apple store to escape certain death. Or maybe I am, metaphorically. Anyway, it still kind of looks dull and boring and I like the design of their wooden floor stores more. But then again I am judging based on some crappy cellphone shots so i'm an idiot

sitting on your shoulder
I just got back from there. It was pretty busy there tonight. No surprise, as Saturday nights are ALWAYS busy there. As I was leaving, after getting some food and a Blizzard, a guy ran past me on the escalator going down to the first floor saying "'scuseme'scuseme'scuse, cops is comin'!" while I could distinctly hear some sort of yelling going on a floor or two up.

Welcome to Providence, Apple.

Wow. That store doesn't have the style that many others do. Its just tables with iPods on them. I don't like it. It's too empty and depressingly gray.

Well, it was taken at early in the morning before the store opened. Thought the store on a whole was tinier than I expected.
