What do we make of this? Personally, I applaud. It makes me cringe whern retail customers are rude or inconsiderate to hard-pressed shop staff. Well done, Apple Store.

It's no secret that many businesses give at least some of their staff the freedom to use their own judgment as far as what to do with what customer; as well as different businesses having different attention/policies as far as what their staff can "get away with".

It's called human nature. No one is going to go that extra mile for someone who is rude and/or demeaning. You don't have to be in sales to see this in action.

I believe this has been standard Apple practice for years, not to mention other businesses that care about gaining and keeping loyal customers.
