It is 1:47 AM central time and I went to check my status on apple for my iPad like i do as often as i can and the store says it's updating! I had a strong feeling it would happened yesterday on Saturday, but looks like we'll get a date by morning.

Same here! I don't know what it means but I guess it could mean what you think it means. I'm really ok with waiting for it but I know having a date will make so many people happy.

Which makes even more sense than international website being down!

If they were doing maintenece, wouldn't they do that across the board?

If they were just telling people the shipping dates of the iPad 3G+Wifi in the US, why would they do that on all sites?

Well of course only US...the international release isn't until May.
 
If they do in fact announce the shipping dates though...that'd be pretty weird. They usually announce stuff on Tuesdays, and they've NEVER announced anything on a Sunday of all days.

Hope It'll be a first.

I agree... they would wait until Tuesday for that sorta announcement.

I bet they are updating the store to better check for people buying and shipping over seas.
 
Apple store down?

Hey I just noticed the apple store in the u.s is down. Is this just maintenance?
 
Sorry...but it's up for me. I see no changes (iPad) that I give a rat's heiny about.

Thanks for the clarification. I just tried it and this is true. Hopefully when this is back online we all will see some welcome news :)

I got the same message. Could this be it?
 
Okay...so I might have been wrong. Just tried to go check my iPad order and it said store was down for schedule maintenance or some such stuff.
