I did an online application for a job at an Apple Store a couple of days ago, but I have not heard back from them. Do you think it would be a good idea to call and ask them if they have had a chance to look over my application or just wait a little longer?

As with any job, it never hurts to follow up to make sure that they got your application. Just don't sell yourself too hard when you do. 
Well, they told me basically that I would have to wait for it to get processed, and that could take a couple of days. Guess I am back to watching for a phone call and checking my email every 30 minutes

I still think it was a good idea to follow up your application, showing them you're not just "looking around", but actually looking for THAT job.
