I was at my local Goodwill store this past weekend and saw something a little strange (which I completely took advantage of): tons of iPad and iPhone cases, still in their retail boxes, available for sale dirt cheap. I ended up getting a Speck case for my iPad for $3.49.
There was nothing indicating what store they had originally come from. However, there was a patch of "stickiness," that appeared to be the size of the barcode labels an Apple Store uses.
So, does anybody know if Apple has a practice of donating surplus merchandise to charity organizations like the Goodwill?
