I have a 14” M1Pro MacBook Pro with 10 core GPU…

I recently purchased an Apple Studio 5K display and I am deeply saddened by the fact that I am forced to use one of five scaling options…

Ranging from 1600 x 900 (HUGE) to 3200 x 1800 (NOT 5K)

Why is an Apple Advertised 5K display with one of the ‘compatible’ laptops unable to display at 5K resolution? This is honesty disappointing and bordering on false advertising.. I purchased a 5K display to get the ‘real estate’ while working… Pixel density, color and brightness were all factors… but the biggest thing I wanted was to be able to pull up multiple windows with a lot of information at once… For example I have a VDI that I open with Windows and would like to have a full window running with 1080P resolution and have it tucked off into a corner… since I don’t actually have 5K… or even 4K… I can’t actually do that…

Don't get me wrong... I LOVE the display... I'm just sad that I can't use the 5K resolution to it's fullest potential.
