Occasionally, we get rumors about Apple "StudioPods", AKA a set of noise cancelling, over the ear headphones.
Direct competitors include Bose 700 ad the Sony WH-1000XM3 models.

Would you be interested in a pair of headphones like that? What would you want? Not want?

Lol. I was in timeout.

I'm on a hiatus from Apple Products at the moment, but I might make an exception for headphones if they're right.

I don't care much for over-the-ear headphones; they all make my ears hurt after about an hour. I've tried different models from different manufacturers, they're all a pain.

Today, the only instance I will tolerate using a pair of headphones are international flights. I take my Bose QuietComfort QC25 headphones.

It's a shame that my ears don't tolerate these well since the sound isolation properties of over-the-ear headphones are far superior to in-ear buds, etc.

Knowing Apple, these would probably cost $499.

😝
I would think about $399. That would be class leading I believe...outside of the B&O Beoplay H9i cans which are $499.

Apple should kill Beats and partner with Bose. Or I guess even buy Bose. The 700s are the best headphones I’ve ever owned. I just wore them almost all day today because I was mostly doing work and they don’t feel the least bit uncomfortable. Most over ear headphones become uncomfortable after like 2 hours for me.

I mean really their aesthetic is very similar to Apple’s and their sound engineering is just better than what Apple does. All they need is seamless integration with iOS devices and the market will be dominated.

Apple would be crazy to kill Beats. The Solo Pros are great and the brand is the strongest among headphone brands.

As far as Bose, Sony has consistently beaten them at their own game. Apple has no business buying them.
