I just got off a support call with Apple about a recent MacBook Pro order, and I just wanted to share that the support member, Tyler, recommended going to macrumors.com to see latest Apple product news. Thought that was kind of strange...

Probably not an official thing that they say, but MacRumors gives more Apple news than Apple even does, so can't blame him.

couple months late, bbut to give some sort of idea that alot of Tier 1 and some Tier 2 AppleCare support lines are operated by outsourcing firms, one for example is Stream Global, Kelly IT, etc so theyre not hired by Apple directly -- and alot of them run off 'script' and if worked for apple would not be allowed to give out that information or state something of that nature.
