I tried to post something in the Apple support communities:
It took them less than 3 seconds to remove my post ; this is what I got in an email: So don’t bother posting anything in that community unless you are going to praise their products and services . Most dictators are more open to criticism than these guys . I know that the truth hurst , but come on ..

Hi trimapa,

Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.

We’ve removed your post Last week my A1706 went from working perfectly well in the morning to the flashing folder when starting up in the evening. because it contained either feedback or a feature request that was not constructive.

Took it to Genius Bar , all that they could tell me is that there is a SSD problem. Hence Logic Board needs replacing out of warranty (33 months old ) at a 725 Euro ( 850 usd ) cost . As to my question as what happened to my perfect condition computer whilst sitting on my desk during the day ; all that the genius that attended me could come up with was that I have been unlucky. For the rest I can get lost . I had already figured that out as soon I saw the estimate repair bill .
Hard to swallow after nearly 30 years of trouble free extremely loyal client of Apple since the Apple cube . Meaning that I shall now gradually wear out my numerous other Apple products but no longer replace them with Apple products . Lost all confidence in the Apple quality , reliability and service we pay premium for .
My real question here is : since I have been picking my brain about what could have happened for my SSD to die like this . No 3rd party software installed nor any peripherals connected . I was my son yesterday who actually admitted that only a couple of days before he made an attempt to install the developer Beta version of Big Sur . He used mine as his with not enough free HD space would not allow him . ( IT classes school project being the reason he wanted to try that )
He said that he downloaded it without any problem but during install it got stuck. He is rather tech savvy ( 17 year old ) but had to abandon it completely and reinstall the actual 10.15 from scratch and recuperate my data from AirPort Extreme/ capsule backup .
He now told me that the full version of Big Mac seems to brick up MacBook Pro’s all over .
Could the Beta version download and subsequent attempted install have something to do with my SSD go bad like this only a couple of days later ?
I have put this question via return mail to a Technical support person that confirmed me that Apple could not do anything for me as I’m out of warranty. As Apple is no longer allowed to sell AppleCare in the EU ( I live in Spain ) one can only expect your Apple product to last 24 months . Perhaps Apple expects us to replace them before they get to the 24 months... one way of turning a lost legal battle into an advantage? Yes , there is AppleCare+ now ... read the small print .. better off throwing your computer out of the window an claim it as accident in stead of saying the SSD died whilst sitting idle on your desk . Strangely enough when I first spoke over the phone to a Tech support person, he told me immediately that I was out of warranty and had no AppleCare / plus ; He therefore suggested to look into my home insurance to see if I could not claim from them ! Is one to understand from this that it is in the Apple policy manual to suggest clients to commit insurance fraud instead of bothering them once out of warranty.?

It's for technical support, not emotional support. Apple's repair costs are ridiculous and infuriating, but if you want consumer revenge you have to find your own platform to do it. By the way it is possible to get hardware coverage on your domestic insurance, no fraud required. It's even offered as standard on credit cards from time to time.

I'ver had a few of my few technical "please help" posts attacked by other users there. Attacked me personally for asking the questions in the first place. I didn't mention Apple at all. I just had an issue with X feature and wanted help resolving it.

My solution to this was to leave the Apple Support Community entirely. It really is a cess pit of nastyness at times.
Now I just post my questions here and most of the people here are amazing and answer all of our questions. Even the rookie mistake questions.

My suggestion is to avoid the ASC entirely and just post the question here on thesr forums.
