This is very exciting! I am so happy to see Intel actually trying to compete! Everyone wins when companies compete like AMD and Intel and Apple Silicon! I made a lot of jokes about Scalderlake and I wish they would get their process under control and deliver a 7nm chip or less but this is a very interesting strategy. Since they can't improve on process that much this was the best they could do and it seems they are throwing everything they can to compete.

I am actually excited to get an Intel machine again. I don't expect magic but I am sure these new Evo laptops will be pretty sweet. I really want Intel to succeed but I hope they have learned a lesson and start to give customers value instead of just pushing profits to shareholders.

I'm more excited to see how the AMD 6800U does, especially with the new 680M graphics.

While I'm not really excited to buy an Intel machine right now - I'm glad to see competition in this space, and I hope they justify any support they're getting from the USG from a national security perspective...

It’ll be interesting. I’m not expecting them to be as efficient. Still there should be gains over their previous generation.

For the purpose of buying a non-Apple product I assume? Otherwise not sure why be concerned with this other than curiosity.
Some of us use multiple platforms at the same time but I think this thread should be moved to the Mac Alternatives forum as it doesn't have anything to do with Apple silicon.
