I just received the email that the trade-in is in progress, but looking closely where it says payment method, there are the last 4 digits of a Mastercard that doesn't belong to me. The card I used to buy the new iPhone is different, and I only used my card. Has anyone ever had this problem?

Did you use your Apple Card? The digital payment number is sometimes different from the physical card number. Just a possibility…
to buy the new iphone I used the apple gift cards I had and then I added the rest of the amount using my card

That’s definitely strange. I have not personally had that happen, but I’d be a little concerned too if the last 4 digits don’t match any of my cards. Maybe it's a glitch in their system or something got mixed up during the trade-in process? I’d recommend reaching out to Apple Support just to be safe they should be able to verify where the payment is actually going. Let us know what they say!

I contacted Apple and they explained to me clearly that those last 4 digits belong to the Apple digital card because I had paid with the credit of the Apple account and the refund will be made to my personal credit card
