Well, it is tuesday again. There are 11 Tuesdays between now and 1st April (inclusive) - so I thought it might be fun to speculate on the next Apple product announcement.
Assuming a product announcement this week or next, here are my thoughts:
iMac - both models have transitioned. I don't think well see a super-size iMac or a iMac mini (perhaps portable iMac?) soon. If they are on their way and were almost ready, Apple would have announced it last week.
PowerMac (Mac Pro) - I think this will probably be the last to transition and will most likely be announced at WWDC (completing the Intel transition before even the revised estimte)
MacBook Pro - same argument as for the iMac - why only one or two weeks later? I think Apple will wait until either they have sold their entire first production run of the 15" or until sales of the 15" start to fall off.
Mac mini - a possibility, but I would expect the Mac Book and rest of the Mac Book Pro line before or at the same time.
Mac mini Home / iHome - I think Apple will wait for 1st April or an appropriate conference to announce anything in this area.
One more thing - Anything remarkable (iPhone, Tablet, etc) will most likely be held back for an appropriate conference or 1st April announcement.
So, what does that leave?
* iPod Shuffle
* iPod nano with video
* New airport express / extreme
* Other accessories (such as Bluetooth Mighty Mouse)
I'd put my money on an iPod announcement next, especially as SJ has learned not to focus too much on the iPod at MWSF.
