Who knows, I am sure the next revision will have the dual core A5, so hardware wise it is very possible. (actually the current A4 can handel it as well, but Apple don't want 1080p for who knows what reason)

Thanks Click to expand... Yes, your TV will upconvert the 720p signal from the Apple TV to 1080p. Same as when you play 480p DVDs your TV upconverts them to 1080p.
