I've been wanting to post this now for a while to see if there was a solution out side of buying a new TV which i'm not doing right now.
I have an Old Mitsubishi 65" CRT HDTV beast that works perfectly fine and has an outstanding picture. problem is it's 1080i. I have an old ATV connected to it via Component cable and it works fine. There is a DVI port on the back as well. The old ATV is obviously lacking the new features as well as it's very slow compared to my ATV2 upstairs.
What i tried was hooking an ATV2 in the back via an HDMI to DVI cable. It works fine but only in 480p.
My questions, is there a Jailbreak that will put it in 1080i (doubtful but had to ask)?
Is there anyone else in this boat and if so what have you done to get 1080i?
