I am going to be buying Apple TV today; however, how would I know what they have in the store is the 2nd generation? I don't want to be buying the old version. I am assuming 2nd gen is hardware related, or is it just same unit with different updated software that I can download and install?

Yes, the 2nd generation is the only one for sale any more. If it's small and black, it's 2nd gen. If it's big and silver, it's old.

Solved - Thanks

Ok thank you, good tip. Since I am Turkey and Apple TV's are not sold at the stores yet, I have to purchase it on the Turkish eBay site and did not want to get an old version.
