I've tried on several machines, with various usb cables, but I cant seem to Jailbreak my aTV. I continue to get various error messages. Mostly iTunes Error 16xx's.

I'm using Seas0nPass and have tried the different troubleshoot suggestions but still no luck. Additionally I have not had any luck putting the aTV in DFU mode without having to connect the power chord. The instructions on Seas0nPass site requests that I only connect the USB cable (which I have tried several) but I am not able to get it into DFU mode. Once I connect the power cable it goes into DFU immediately.

Any suggestions?

That's your problem, LOL it is not Additionally.... that IS your issue, without DFU mode you can't jailbreak.

It is a timing issue, some people had problem getting it, you just need to keep trying, you cannot do it with the power cord, only the USB. Look up Youtube videos and such to get, you just need to keep trying

I'm aware I can not jailbreak without going into DFU mode. I can kick it into DFU mode just fine only it doesnt seam to do so unless the power cable is connected. I'm aware of the 7 seconds "count" but it is not working with only the usb cable. I had a buddy of mine take my aTV home to give it a shot and he couldnt get it either.

I've jailbroken before, as has he, but just doesnt seem to work this time around.

That is not DFU that is recovery mode...it won't work that way..you need to get it into DFU without the power cord. Maybe you remote button is a bit lose or something. I've seen Appletv that are HELL to get into DFU, but they eventually go into it.

Are you following this guide to the letter? Latest version of iTunes and so on? http://support.firecore.com/entries/387605-jailbreaking-101-seas0npass

What if you restore the ATV2 in iTunes first, to have it "cleaned"?
