apple tv 2nd generation

does new apple tv have hard disk? it seems not! and if not, person prefer a tv with hard disk need to choose 1 generation.. my question is is the any difference between 2 apple tv?

no the appletv 2 has no hard drive. It is for iTunes rentals, netflix, and streaming from iTunes installed on a Mac/PC.

There is no HDD in the new, black Apple TV, only 8GB to store streaming content temporarily.

If you want to store files on an Apple TV and not stream from a nearby Mac or Windows computer, you need an older Apple TV.
