Where should I search for an untethered jailbreak for the new ATV version?

I want to update to get the new Airplay features, but I don't want to loose XBMC.

Thanks.:)

I'm in the same boat - I really want to update my ATV2 firmware so I can watch MLB.tv but don't want to lose my XBMC.

Any luck in finding out if this is possible?

i was gonna try seas0npass but its a tethered jailbreak

someone post if theres a untethered

How do i do a tethered jailbreak

Cause my tv and computer are in 2 separate rooms

How do i keep the apple tv plugged in and on

Cause i have to move it after i do the jailbreak

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-gb) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)

There is no untethered jailbreak for 4.3 yet on any device, including the new apple tv.

I'm using seas0npass and find it to e quite reliable. How often and why would you need to reboot your apple tv anyways?!

XBMC is compatible with 4.3 if you are confident enough to install one of the semi-nightly builds that are in development, they are less stable but are a good solution if yiou want 4.3 to run on your appletv 2....

I am in the same boat, i still have appletv 2 on 4.2.1 running the official build of XBMC, i would love to update for AirPlay support but there is no definitive answer if the nightly build run on 4.3.1 yet and if the tethered JB works on 4.3.1 either.

I am happy with tethered as i have a macbook to boot if i need to power down my appletv.

Lol, you'll have to find a laptop to do it, or move the compy. If it's an iMac you won't be tortured too much ;)

Otherwise, there isn't a way to do it right now if you've already upgraded. If you haven't, Greenpois0n is untethered for the previous version.

so when you go to sleep mode the next time you turn your apple tv you have to tether it?
