Hi folks!

Uggg...these threads are always a bit challenging but I do need some help please.

I am upgrading my TV for the first time in 13 years.

Wow, the tech is insane out there. I found a middle of the road tv that checks all of our boxes. Hiesense U7 Series QULED (2023 release)

The biggest box is one that plays nice with Apple TV and the Dolby Digital stuff. Seems like Hiesense U7 does.

We use it predominantly for streaming.

I want to get a great picture and will rely on Dolby through Apple TV.

It seems like both Apple TVs can do Dolbly Digital, but will be picture on a movie I have purchased in 4K be better at all ('17 vs '22)? Will Dolby be any better?

I also am so behind the times... I know the new Apple TV 2022 will allow color calibration, but if I am set up for dolby, do I even need to do that?

ANY help and suggestions are welcomed.

THANK YOU!
