Apple tv and Logitech

Hi and Happy New Year

Having set up my tv to work along my Sony Bravia, Denon 1910 AV amp and Logitech remote, I have one slight but annoying problem. When I switch of ...ie the TV all the units switch off correctly (even the tv). However if I am watching TV and decide to switch over to the tv the tv and amp both change their inputs (as they should) and the tv switches on however it remains with a blank screen and I have to unplug/plug it, and then it boots up correctly. I have noticed that if I leave the tv on and perform the same operation .....switch from tv to tv it starts correctly.
Just seeing if anyone else uses a similar set up and can shed some light

Is it a harmony remote? i have similar issues with switching between activities. Mostly with the A/V Receiver though. For me it is much easier to switch everything off than it is to go from watching Cable directly to Apple TV (Mac Mini for me, much better)

The only thing that comes to mind (if it is a harmony remote) make sure you have the most up to date firmware and possibly re-order the activities. Possibly your ATV needs to be updated too?

I gave up on it and find it easier to just fix the issue from the device menu on the remote.

To address your question specifically, the ATV doesn't really turn 'off' so it could be the type of signal being sent to the ATV

if you dig deep into your logitech tv's programming you should be able to find a setting to send no signal to it when switching devices or switching on. I can't remember exactly what it is under but the harmony forums are pretty good for that kind of stuff.
