We know there are going to be some Apple TV apps coming soon from apple but it's not going to be the same type of apps we have on the iPhone/iPad/ & iPod Touch.

So what type of apps are they going to be? What apps will we see?

I'm guessing we will see apps such as visual and readable content.

NYTimes, ABC Player, TwitPad, Movies by Flixter, IMBD, Google, Twitter, Weather HD, Justin.tv. You get the idea

But I am not certain if this is what we will see in the type of apps.

Any thoughts?

Any thoughts?

An app that gets you a new TV by displaying Justin Beibers douche bag face and causing you to punch your television into tiny, tiny useless shards of broken dreams and kelloggs rice crispies.

Of course, this app wouldn't work for people with HDMI-less televisions. Fortunately Apple have pioneered a downloadable and printable copy of this App, which is why the Apple TV was shipped with black tape.

Simply apply the printed picture of Justin Beibers face to your TV using the provided tape and continue punching as normal.

It's recommended you phone the hospital and your insurance company after running this app.

In all seriousness: SlingPlayer. But they haven't even released an iPad version yet, so I'm not counting on it.

I'm waiting for the iPhone controlled SNES emulator to land, courtessy of the jailbreaking community.

I have a feeling, like the iPhone, apple will keep an eye on what the jailbrake community does with apps

Google TV is a reincarnation of Web TV. I don't think Apple will go that route.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the one coming out this month.

I just kept thinking about back in the day when WebTV was around.
