Apple TV Apps?

Hey, hoping I can get some answers on my new apple tv. Am I able to install apps on this? Like HBO Go, spotify, MOG, Pandora?

Also, how long should it take to download an HD movie from the apple store? I'm on wireless, 3mb-7mb dl dsl speed. Takes 7-10 hours!?!

Let me know, hope this ATV was a good investment.

just to add to this, if you rent from the Device (which is all you can do with the ATV2) then it streams, but you can purchase from your computer running iTunes, then your download times may be correct, all i have ever bought from iTunes is some food network shows and all 6 episodes downloaded in about 20 min (i have the same download speed as you).

You can JB your ATV (i have yet to be successful doing this) and then you can add Plex or XBMC and through those add apps.

Not to jack your thread but if it makes you feel better I haven't been able to JB either after multiple attempts.

Turns out I was stuck at step...I need to use exactly the right cable. Can't use a blackberry cable or otherwise. Had to use a standard micro usb that I bought at Radio Shack!
