Just been onto Apple Support for the past 2 hours - very helpfull chap trying his best to sort out my issue-

Apple TV > 42" Plasma - 1024x768 (HDMI - DVI Cable)

from day 1 they Apple TV was pushing out 480i and all is fine, Today 480p was selected and the video has a blue tint on.

The only options on screen res are 480p and 576p 50Hz

restore, and even a software restore did not work - even trying to restore the Apple TV without a Video cable in did not work.

The Kind chap from Support did almost everything but now i'm looking at a refund for the Apple TV unless a way can be found to get it working.

Looks like my plasma will be going on the unsupported or with issues list at Apple.

Any one got any idea's?

Try using component video cables

Try hooking up your appleTV to your plasma via component cables. If you have more than 1 component video in on your Plasma, check to see which one supports 1080i and use that input. Play around your appleTV by selecting between 480p and 1080i.

What year/make/model is your 42" plasma? It should be able to support 480p, 720p and 1080i at 42 inches.

Apple replaced the Apple TV today - works fine , plus i get to keep the busted unit:eek:

Any chance I can get the old HD from you? My HD crashed while I was backing it up for some modding...now I'm stuck without an OS :(

There are disk images floating around the internet of the ATV OS. Might want to check into that.
