Hey guys

Have a quick question for you - I have seen this issue on a friend's AppleTV and then yesterday on mine.

If I purchase a TV series on the AppleTV (Jersey Shore for example) and watch a few episodes on the AppleTV, it will start to sync to iTunes but stop and delete all the unwatched episodes from AppleTV and then show the following screen shot in iTunes.

The unwatched episodes are gone...no where to be found. If I purchase it on iTunes everything is fine. This only happens to TV shows

My AppleTV is set to automatically sync and has more than enough room for all my movies, TV shows and music (160 GB model)

The only thing I can think of is that the AppleTV is dropping it's connection for a few seconds and then when it syncs again to iTunes, iTunes will do the auto sync and erase the data.

Any ideas or thoughts?

The EXACT same thing happened to me recently. I've never had a problem before, but it happened with a season of How I Met Your Mother.

I contacted iTunes Support and after three days, they got back to me and allowed me to re-download the episodes I was missing. This time, I downloaded them on iTunes instead and had no problems.

Downloading a single episode from AppleTV doesn't seem to be problematic -- it's just multiples (Season Passes, in my case).

Yep - that is exactly my problem. Only with season pass or a season of a TV show. No issues if I download it via iTunes. I found a few forum post over on apple.com but no answer to the problem
