Just a random thought but Apple should have really made an Apple TV emulator of sorts for this thing. Then all streaming services would at least be available in full 4k quality with surround sound… I’m starting to get really annoyed that there’s no way to watch peacock or prime other than crappy ipad apps

What's the difference? Their content is not immersive. You can always go to Settings -> Appearance and make the apps go very large in size, then change your environment to the Dark Moon and watch your show in a giant display.
It will get better once developers make their apps native to VisionOS.

Surround sound makes all the difference and these apps don’t have it

That’s the developers’ fault. Their iPad app should have surround sound, as most people will use headphones.
AppleTV apps are just like iPad apps with some minor differences. It’s up to the developers to take that extra tiny step to make them compatible with the AVP.

Who’s fault is this?

I had no idea until I got the vision that ipad apps didn’t have 4k/atmos but here we are

Yes, Peacock videos look and sound "old". But that's their fault. Regardless, to watch old shows it makes no difference.
They are looking for ways to make money out of 4K/Atmos. When they release it, they may ask for a premium free.

peacock already has 4k and atmos and looks great on my old tv... I just want the same experience on my vision pro like every other steaming service...sans prime

Regardless, you are barking at the wrong tree.
Ask Peacock to make a better app that's at par with their AppleTV app.
The user base isn’t enough for these companies to care. What I’m saying is Apple could’ve made it better for us users in the interim
