Im new to it, so be forgiving :)

If I set the ATV settings to 1080p/60 output and iTunes 1080p for rentals, and then rent a new release 1080p movie, am I correct in thinking if I press play then pause, and let it sit for an hour, it'll build up a good bit of buffer so I can start the movie and not be interrupted (have a 6mbps DSL connection)?

Also, I see they recommend 6mbps for 720p, and 8mbps for 1080p, but this has nothing to do with streaming quality, right? The ATV doesnt vary streaming quality by speed, like say Netflix instant watch, because this is the reason it has a buffer to allow you to keep the full quality 1080p or 720p PQ, and just needs to be given the proper time to buffer?

Hope that makes sense.
