I am very OCD with my movies and cd's. I like to buy the physical disc and have the cases for them. I always copy my cd's into iTunes for my iPhone. Also, the last three movies I have bought come with Digital Copy. I still like buying the disc to have a physical copy, but now the Apple TV is looking very tempting since the Digital Copy. Anyone else feel the same way?

I am really looking into buying one. I don't have a Blu-Ray player, or even a HDTV, is it still worth it, or should I get a HDTV first?

While the Apple TV will sort of work with 480p Standard Definition sets (as long as the set has component inputs), it's really set up to do widescreen. The menus, the photos, the movies, the music -- well, not the music -- are all presented in a widescreen format.

Want a recommendation? Well, here's some free advice, and remember what you paid for it when considering it -- buy yourself the nicest, sweetest, bestest HDTV you can afford, and worry about an Apple TV when the dust of amazement settles.

Yeah, what he said.

Michael

LOL, thanks for the free advice. My TV is actually starting to flicker (and I am waiting until it full on dies since I am a starving college student), and when it goes, my wife and I will buy a shiny, new HD Widescreen.
